The Systems Engineer - Intermediate has a deep understanding of technical and clinical information systems related to Voice Recognition Applications. Primary responsibilities to include design, install, configure, implement, and support all aspects of the software environment and provides technical guidance for all aspects of the software process. Additionally, the Systems Engineer - Intermediate will maintain clinical, technical and business systems with a dedication to providing secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery systems that continually improve outcomes, reduce costs, increase efficacy and enhance patient experience.
What you will be responsible for:
  • Participate in complex problem analysis and issue resolution and provide technical guidance. Adheres to best practices, standards, and technology.  Implement improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team and the infrastructure.
  • Performs monitoring, alerting, reporting, and trending.  Monitors and assists with the identification and resolution of problems.  Assists with the collection of data and establishing facts in order to determine the cause of these problems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance while providing maximum availability.  This includes patching, updates, and/or configuration changes
  • Participates in technical Enterprise Voice Recognition Applications implementations.
  • Participates in the design of new infrastructure, utilizing knowledge of business and technical environment
  • Work with the Enterprise VR team manager and Team lead to process team project feasibility and deployment.
  • Performs cross training on applications supported by this team to include voice recognition, integrations and resulting applications.
  • Promotes good employee relationships by encouraging discussion, input and interaction.
  • Serves as an active member of the AIT Enterprise Voice Recognition Team, dedicated to the development of electronic solutions for application workflow and practices that are aligned with current best practice standards.
  • Collaborates, with indirect supervision, with Physicians, Clinicians, and end users Hospital Leadership, vendor and other AIT teams to develop and deploy electronic applications or new functionality.
  • Build, and test Voice Recognition application components and make necessary changes using application tools provided by vendor.
  • Ensures that major technical, system or application issues (planned and unplanned) are appropriately addressed and communicated.
  • Prepare training materials and provide education on new applications or functionality.
  • Actively participates in the technical support of the AIT Enterprise through the implementation, activation and post-live support phases of Enterprise Voice Recognition projects.
  • Adhere to IT Service Management policy and procedures for all in scope process areas.
  • Implement and communicate process changes in order to improve productivity or employee satisfaction.
