Work Hours/Shift:

PRN (Not Benefits Eligible)/Day

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Reports to work in a regular and timely fashion.

Production Duties

  • Assist production staff: production cook and salad maker in food preparation work

Overall General Duties

  • Gathers appropriate serving utensils according to standards

  • Responsible for using appropriate sanitary methods during meal service

  • Scraps dishes from patient service area

  • Cleans and sanitizes patient food carts

  • Cleans and sanitizes station after each meal

  • Cleans equipment, tables, racks as scheduled

  • Reports any items needing repairs to supervisor

  • Sets up cafeteria serving area according to hot food diagram

  • Stock stations with plates, containers and utensils

  • Replenishes food items as needed

  • Notifies cooks on low food items

  • Serves cafeteria patrons at duty station as described by job schedule during meal times assigned

  • Maintains a clean work area

  • Drains steam tables and clean out

  • Refills steam tables with fresh clean water

  • Cleans tables and chairs in cafeteria

  • Cleans microwave ovens

  • Cleans and polished dessert station

  • Cleans hot box and polish

  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. as per policy

  • Maintain dishwasher temperature log

  • Maintain proper washing, detergertent, and sanitation for dish and pot washing

  • Mopping and sanitizing of the dishroom

  • Take out trash per department policy

  • Performs additional duties as required or assigned.

Safety and Sanitation Duties

  • Wears name tag identification

  • Maintains personal hygiene and neatness according to departmental standards.

  • Performs proper handwashing techniques according to departmental standards.

  • Utilizes gloves according to departmental standards.

  • Uses hair restraints according to departmental standards.

  • Utilizes clean aprons, towels, and bleach and sanitation buckets as needed.

  • Wipes up spills after they occur in order to avoid accidents.

  • Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.                                                                                                 

 

Customer Service Duties

  • Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients and customers.

  • Exhibits pleasant and cheerful demeanor and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.

  • Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient’s rights policy as outlined in the facility’s HIPAA policies and procedures.

  • Contributes to patient and/or customer satisfaction goals by providing quality service.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Physical ability to perform designated job

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • ServSafe certification within three (3) months of hire

Job Summary:

Provide service to patients and personnel in a manner supportive of the department operation, in various areas of the Food Service department.
