Sports Medicine Team, Manager – Marketing – Adanson – Orlando

Florida Hospital seeks to hire a Sports Medicine Team, Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Department Profile:

Florida Hospital Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation – Adanson offers physical, occupational and speech therapy and specializes in treating adolescent, adult and elderly patients for orthopedic and sports medicine injuries as well as neurological diagnoses. Other specialty programs include neuromuscular reeducation, massage therapy and a medical fitness program that is supervised by an exercise physiologist. Our highly skilled team, including several Neuro-IFRAH certified therapists, work together to deliver excellent care.



Work Hours/Shifts:

Monday - Thursday 8am -5pm; Friday 8am - 2:30pm



Job Summary:

The Sports Medicine Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the Central Florida Division athletic training staff and ensuring the Partnership medical integration plan is executed. This leader will collaborate on the creation and implementation of innovative medical models, programs and services that will provide revenue and will support the establishment of a leading sports medicine program. They will actively participate in the Central Florida Division Sports Medicine Counsel, working closely with physicians and clinicians on medical protocol, care plans and compliance. They will provide clinical treatment for athletes and provide regular and timely communication to leadership team regarding Partner medical team and physician leader concerns or comments. This person will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with Partner medical teams, physicians and Florida Hospital teams. They are responsible for ROI tracking and regular reporting. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.



Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff
  • Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Master’s degree in related field (Preferred)
  • Three (3) years of experience in sports partnerships related work
  • One (1) year of management experience


Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

  • Certified Athletic Trainer and/or physical therapist


Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads the partnerships sports medicine program and execution across the Central Florida division
  • Provides management of daily operations and maintains department budgets.
  • Manages the recruitment, retention, training, and competence of athletic training staff. Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, reliability, frequency, level-of-detail of staff work product.
  • Builds and maintains relationships across multiple disciplines to achieve common goals.
  • Leads medical services with sports partners’ medical staff across the Central Florida Division
  • Collaborates on the creation and implementation of innovative medical models, programs and services to support Partnerships strategy in collaboration with other clinical, operational and business units
  • Oversees sports concussion program and team. Directs integration into sports partnerships and provides leadership for the hospital service/program.
  • Actively participates in the Central Florida Division Sports Medicine Counsel, working closely with physicians and clinicians on medical protocol, care plans and compliance
  • Establishes, builds and maintains strategic relationships between employees, physicians, their office staff, hospital administration, athletic trainers, athletic directors, coaching staff, athletes and their parents and corporate partners.
  • Promotes Florida Hospital programs and services to the above audiences to drive revenue and build Florida Hospital sports medicine clinical reputation and program across the Central Florida Division
  • Provides clinical treatment to athletes to meet Partnership needs
  • Maintains knowledge of competitors and industry trends to help evolve/enhance sports medicine strategies.
  • Maintains ROI tracking and reporting.
  • Analyzes ROI reports to establish new strategies and tactics to provide efficiencies and streamline/optimize care.
  • Responsible for a million-dollar budget (clinical staffing and activation)
