Florida Hospital Ocala opened its doors in 1898 as Marion General Hospital and has been in continuous operation since then. Then in 1928, the hospital was renamed to Munroe Memorial Hospital. Adventist Health System acquired Munroe Regional Medical and renamed it Florida Hospital Ocala in 2018. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides and is accountable for the delivery of comprehensive Speech Language Pathology services to diagnose, treat, consult and provide related patient care within the professional scope of practice and Munroe Regional policies and procedures. 
What you will responsible for:
  • Screen/evaluate individuals to determine need for communication/swallowing therapy.   
  • Obtains complete/relevant case history to ensure patient receives appropriate evaluation.
  • Chooses assessments related to patient complaint and diagnosis.
  • Formulates and implement appropriate therapy plan to maximize patient outcomes.        
  • Documents patient care timely to meet professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participates in professional development and leadership activities to facilitate individual as well as departmental growth and development.
  • Consistently maintains departmental expected productivity.
Qualifications
What you will need:
  • Masters Degree.
  • Experience in dysphagia evaluation, treatment and MBS is preferred.
  • State of FL Speech Pathologist license, ASHA CCC, AHA BLS
