Senior Manager Scenario Planning – Central Region Planning and Development - Orlando

Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire Senior Manager Scenario Planning who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Established in 1908, Florida Hospital is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country, caring for more than a million patients each year. It serves as a community hospital for Greater Orlando and as a major tertiary referral hospital for Central Florida and much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and Latin America.



Work Hours/Shifts:

Monday – Friday; 8a – 5p



Job Summary:

Performs development of analytics frameworks, scenario planning, modeling and portfolio management. Determines and articulates implications on Florida Hospital business model for leaders to inform strategy development and long-term planning. Assists leadership team in the development of scenarios, models and frameworks to facilitate planning process within Florida Hospital. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.



Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Excellent interpretive business skills
  • Ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
  • Expert interpretive skills- utilizes research and analytics to develop valuable insights and strategic opportunities to drive actionable results.
  • Navigates an interconnected system well; employs effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suites and other applicable databases. (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration (Preferred)
  • Minimum of four (4) years in industry experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years in leadership experience

  • SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Identify and quantify strategic market opportunities, threats and trends.
  • Develop the strategic framework or context in which to view the market to create valuable insight and actionable strategies.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of analytic principles, research best practices and methodologies to analyze complex business issues while applying ingenuity and originality to develop unique solutions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in strategy change discussions and decisions.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and standards to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Operates within data security regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Provides support to Executive Director in staying within Operating Budget of estimated $3M.
  • STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Drives development of strategic plans through understanding of analysis, strategic frameworks, modeling, and scenario planning.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of analytic principles, research best practices and methodologies to analyze complex business issues while applying ingenuity and originality to develop unique solutions.
  • PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Supports Executive Director in providing actionable, decision grade data that will enable the organization to develop and deploy plans anticipated to generate significant revenue and/or cost savings upwards of hundreds of thousands based on industry comparisons.
  • STAFFING/LABOR/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Manages up to 3 individuals.
