We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Manager Project Management position that will be based in our Organizational Readiness department.  This position is based at our support center in Altamonte Springs, FL.
The Senior Manager of Organizational Readiness Project Management is responsible for planning, leading, and management multiple projects within the Organizational Readiness scope in support of the organizational objectives aligned with Adventist Health System’s Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) initiative, iSynergy, process improvement, and other transformational projects as assigned. Position is within a large-scale implementation project with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
Individual is key contributor to planning for readiness activities and working with leadership across workstream and function to consult and execute on project plans, adhering to overall iSynergy PMO governance. This position is responsible for leading others both with direct reports and through influence of other leaders and team members. Individual is responsible to ensure collaboration across the workstreams within the Organizational Readiness team, other internal project teams, shared services operation teams, subject matter experts, facility contacts, and other corporate departments as needed to ensure successful realization of the project at hand.
Specific job duties include:
  • Plan, control, and ensure execution of project plans, milestones, and deliverables for each project within readiness scope, insuring alignment and coordination with iSynergy PMO. Projects include, but not limited to ERP project (multiple phases), performance management, acquisitions, optimizations, and other projects as assigned.
  • Build and manage status reporting processes for all workstreams; Create roadmaps and other collaterals as needed to help define and prioritize work efforts across the team.
  • Lead project status meeting agendas; Ensure project documentation is maintained as appropriate including minutes, issues/risks, and action items.
  • Build systems and manage process for resource allocation planning and tracking.
  • Lead assessment to identify resources and timeline needs when new projects present themselves via charter or otherwise; Contribute to budgetary planning process through research and planning mechanisms.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and escalate, as appropriate, risks and issues; Work to resolve issues and risks and monitor progress through resolution; Prepare risk mitigation tactics; Identify and manage anticipated resistance.
  • Oversee and coordinate project team members, as necessary, across workstreams, including consultants and extended project teams as needed, such as implementation team, communications, learning/OE, shared services, functional, and technical teams as impacted by project deployment, risk, issues, and action items.
  • Identify and document opportunities for efficiency and process improvements, lessons learned from previous implementations and applications for future deployments and operational support.
  • Maintain decision-making authority for day-to-day project tasks and assignments, practicing discretion in escalation and maintains strict confidence.
  • Lead across workstreams to help facilitate adoption of standard practices and procedures within the scope of the projects, championing the use of or creation of playbook methodologies as appropriate; Engage with team members to gather best practices to integrate and/or improve methodologies and stakeholder experience.
  • Leadership within Organizational Readiness team:

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Proven track record of large-scale implementations
  • IT or ERP functional management experience
  • Experience with executive-level communications and presentations
  • Expert level experience with Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Ability to solve complex practical problems
  • Ability to drive diverse viewpoints to consensus
  • Process development and analysis experience
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and procedures
  • Capable of understanding organizational traits and strategically utilizing those skills to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to coordinate remote and local resources and logistics
  • Possesses strong understanding of how people go through change and the change process preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study required
  • Master's degree in related filed of study preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in project management
  • At least 5 years of applicable leadership experience
  • 10+ years of experience in project management preferred
  • Experience working in healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital setting preferred
  • Experience working in change management for large-scale initiative, ERP initiative preferred

Licensure, Certification or Registration:

  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management certification required
  • Certification related to change management, human resources, training, or project management preferred
