 Safety & Quality Program Manager 


JOB SUMMARY

Under General Supervision, The Radiology Safety and Quality Program Manager is responsible to ensure consistent product and service quality and safety throughout AHMG – Radiology, system-wide. This involves, but is not limited to, knowledge of radiological procedures and radiographic equipment. Responsible for compliance with organizational/departmental and regulatory standards by conducting rounding and performing audits. Participates in the development of corrective action plans as necessary utilizing the PDSA performance improvement process. Collects and provides data for analysis and process improvement. Oversees and coordinates the maintenance of radiology practice policies and SOP’s. 

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS


Able to stand, sit, walk, climb, turn, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift at least 25 lbs., carry, finger, hold, talk, see with a good field of vision, and hear; Communicate on the telephone and directly with patients; read paperwork, printouts and computer screens; Requires manual dexterity sufficient to maintain files, operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other small desk equipment and computer.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge of all Diagnostic Radiological procedures.  Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality Assurance, Radiation Safety, Patient Safety and quickly transfers this knowledge to others. Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor of Science Degree in healthcare related field

•    Three years of Radiation Safety Experience

•    Program Management and/or Supervisory experience

•    Registered Technologist Radiography RT(R) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

•    Florida State License in Radiology

•    Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality Assurance, Radiation Safety, Patient Safety and quickly transfers this knowledge to others

•    Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and other regulatory bodies

•    Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to imaging services

•    Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment

•    Knowledge of radiographic equipment

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office
