What You Will Be Responsible For:

•             Supports training new staff with departmental orientation ensuring compliance and all scorecard goals are introduced.  Develop procedures/create Net Learning training materials as necessary for ongoing education and updates of all staff.

•             Responsible for following new employees and evaluating for the first week of their employment watching for basic skills and problem solving during this period.  Create ongoing training education for existing team members within certain parameters to lower the learning curve and evaluate potential success.  Outcomes are posted for the supervisors communicating issues of concern when warranted.

•             Maintain/organize online department policies and procedures ensuring a review every two years.

•             Timely maintenance and follow up of the CPA employee tree and routing requests to the help desk providing updates to the requestor.

•             Ensures PFS patient account compliance, regional corporate compliance initiatives, corporate PFS directives, utilize education tools that are available and coordinate First Coast training for Medicare biller certification with the supervisor.  

•             Create and/or coordinate compliance material per CW CC 131 for continuing education.  Assist in setup of annual compliance training hours in Net Learning for PFS team.

•             Float to other areas to work in revenue cycle, approximately 40% of the time, in accordance with the needs of those areas to strengthen knowledge thus improving training tools offered in those areas that impact the goals of PFS.


What You Will Need:


•        Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

•        Additional languages preferred

•        Minimum Associate of Arts degree in related field required OR Minimum 3 years’ experience in patient financial services or related work area

•        Two years supervisory experience preferred

•        Training/education experience preferred



Job Summary:


Under general supervision, functioning as an educator in a classroom setting, responsible for new employee orientation and ongoing CPA/Cerner training within revenue cycle onsite and remote.  Creating new, effective and interesting ways for education within various areas using net learning tools, PowerPoint or other effective mediums.  Maintain/organize online department policies and procedures ensuring a review every two years.  Training adheres to the regional Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local agencies and accrediting bodies.
