You will be responsible for:

  • Assists with certain phases of Physical/Occupational Therapy treatment following initial evaluation by a licensed Physical/Occupational Therapist, and at the Physical/ /Occupational Therapist’s discretion.  
  • Assists in directing patients to therapy treatment areas.
  • Works directly with Physical/Occupational Therapists in treatment logistics and execution.
  • Maintains treatment areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. 
  • Demonstrates correct lifting and transfer techniques, as well as the use of additional safety precautions.
  • Recognizes and reports adverse patient signs/symptoms (e.g., pain or discomfort, nausea or vomiting) promptly to appropriate hospital/department personnel.
  • Provides basic level patient care skills/procedures appropriately in a manner that takes into account the special needs of the patient, i.e., age, culture, learning ability, etc.
  • Possesses strong customer service skills.  

What will you need?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience Preferred
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR
