Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time 3rd shift Overnight
5:45pm-6:00am
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Carries out physician orders for all diagnostic and therapeutic modalities included in the departmental scope of service for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
  • Assesses patient for response to therapeutic modalities and documents all care given accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collects, handles,0nualcipates in OSHAcationsh physicians as needed about patient issues using SBSDARarge.ls
  • action.compliance with departmental  and tests patient specimens for Arterial Blood Gas Analysis.
  • Performs and documents all QC, calibrations and function checks of all equipment used in patient care.
  • Submits appropriate charges for care delivered. Supports the hospital mission by providing professional high quality patient care consistent with customer service standards and hospital Code of Conduct.
  • Serves as a resource for other staff and physicians.
  • Facilitates the team process by assisting in consistent compliance with departmental and hospital policies with the ultimate goal of quality patient care and high patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Graduate from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy at the certification level
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
  • Current license as an RCP in the state of Texas.
  • Current RRT credential from National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Current certificate in C.P.R
  • Current certificate in ACLS
  • Current certificate in PALS and NRP or complete within 6 months of hire
  • Must have some knowledge and experience in performing the duties associated with provision of Respiratory Care, EKG, and ABGs. 
  • Must have some computer experience, working with a healthcare software computer system is desirable.
Job Summary:
To participate in the care of the patient by providing diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to those suffering from cardiopulmonary disease or dysfunction.
