You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Performs assessments and determines the total nursing needs of assigned patients.
  • Formulates a goal directed plan of care and develops appropriate nursing diagnosis based on needs specific to the standard of care and updates according to policy.
  • Accurately performs nursing actions to achieve patient care goals
  • Accepts responsibility for one’s own professional standards.
  • Plans, organizes and delivers unit-based education programs and education to staff
What You Will Need:
  • Current Florida RN License
  • BLS – condition of employment
  • ACLS – condition of employment
  • Minimum 2 years of current experience in area of expertise
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Unit Educator is responsible for the coordination of patient care using a multidisciplinary approach to the Nursing process in accordance with the Hospital's Mission, physician and patient expectations, as well as professionals with the highest level of knowledge and skill in their area of clinical expertise A RN Unit Educator works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager in delivering education to unit staff that is derived from best practice standards.  The unit educator works closely with the physician providers to provide optimal multidisciplinary care to the patient.  These duties will be performed in an acceptable manner according to the hospitals philosophy, policies, procedures, standards, mission, vision, goal.
