Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time/Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Promotes a customer oriented leadership style through a nurturing, patient/family-focused behavior, while applying evidence-based practices.
  • Demonstrates performance based on professional nursing practice standards, relevant statutes, rules and regulations, and organizational criteria.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements performance improvement activities to enhance the delivery of patient care.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and serves as a role model for staff.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Minimum of RN
  • Knowledgeable of Perioperative Nursing Roles
  • Knowledgeable of AORN Guidelines and Standards of Practice
  • Demonstrates leadership & teaching abilities (Preferred)
  • Current Florida RN License
  • BLS – condition of employment
  • ACLS prior to or within 90 days of employment or transfer
  • Basic EKG Class prior to or within 90 days of employment or transfer
Job Summary:

A Clinically competent uncertified surgical tech that works under the supervision of the registered nurse in delivering safe and effective care to the patient during the intraoperative period. Assists surgeons in a manner as to make procedures smooth flowing. Strictly adheres to aseptic technique. Effectively interacts with patients and health care team members, while maintaining the Surgical Services Department standards.
