Work Hours/Shifts: Part-time Day Shift 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient and/or assigned group of patients within a patient care and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment, while practicing within the State, facility and regulatory guidelines.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessment- the nurse collects patient health data
  • Data collection involves the patient, family and other health care providers as appropriate
  • Maintains thorough and complete record of each patient's procedure according to established standard of care
  • Care for specimens properly and handles their disposition according to hospital/lab policy
  • Keep physicians informed of patient changes while in PACU
Qualifications
What you will need:
  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • One year of general nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Registered nurse license with the Georgia State Board of Examiners
  • BCLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification within 3 months of hire date
  • PALS Certification within 6 months of hire date
