Florida Hospital Ocala opened its doors in 1898 as Marion General Hospital and has been in continuous operation since then. Then in 1928, the hospital was renamed to Munroe Memorial Hospital. Adventist Health System acquired Munroe Regional Medical and renamed it Florida Hospital Ocala in 2018. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Clinical Coordinator ensures that all necessary resources are in place to facilitate effective client support and treatments toward providing quality patient care. This means they interact daily with patients, physicians and nursing staff.  The CC is responsible for all program management, including staff and community education if applicable, patient rounds, outcomes monitoring, preparation of statistical reports, data abstraction and maintenance of all required documentation; and compliance with national standards, certifications, and accreditations.
What you will responsible for:
  • Coordinates care of patients in the program to ensure quality clinical outcomes achieving shorter length of stay, low morbidity and mortality rates as well as patient satisfaction and post-dc calls as applicable.
  •  Coordinates and provides physician, staff, patient and community education as applicable; evaluates the effectiveness of these programs when possible.
  • Consistently uses current evidence-based guidelines, standing orders, and protocols to facilitate positive patient outcomes.
  •  Collaborates with other in-house departments and community resources to provide continuity of care, as indicated.
  • Develops, monitors, analyzes and reports program performance improvement indicators and initiates process improvement as needed.  Maintains ongoing QI plan.
  •  Acts as an internal and external consultant on program and patient population related initiatives.             
  • Coordinates the entire program to promote and improve the quality of care for the designated specialty population.
  •  Communicates new evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards to the program committee and assists in updating current policies, protocols, and order sets.
  •  In conjunction with patient care, is involved in planning and content of patient/family education materials.
  • Effectively utilizes internal and external benchmarking for data collection and data analysis.  Provides analytical interpretation of data and analysis of variances in a timely manner to appropriate customers.
Qualifications
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree  or ARNP in area of specialty preferred.     
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in area of specialty. 
  • Program development  and performance improvement experience preferred.         
  • Current Florida RN License; national nursing certification in specialty area required within two years of employment; 
  • AHA BLS- certified    
  • AHA ACLS- certified
