Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Participates and reports in the EMS county-wide meetings.

  • Assists in developing research-based protocol.
  • Serves as role model for the health care team.

What You Will Need:
Job Summary:

Responsible for the planning, coordination and evaluation of the services provided to patients within the cardiac, stroke and emergency operations service line(s).  This begins with the activation of emergency medical services, presentation to the emergency department, throughout the patient’s cardiac and stroke care experience to include follow-up and rehabilitation. Responsible for supporting quality initiatives, clinical outcomes processes and clinical benchmarking endeavors. This includes concurrent and/or retrospective data abstraction, data management, data analysis, report generation, results presentation and dissemination, and education of staff.  The CPC/Stroke possesses a strong clinical acumen in cardiac, stroke and emergency care and the requisite level of technical and professional knowledge in nursing.  Coordinates and oversees the ongoing quality improvement process including the Chest Pain Center accreditation program.  Ensures organizational and community integration of cardiac/stroke services, education, research and outreach in order to improve care and maximize outcomes.  This position will also assist with planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations to include fostering relationships with emergency medical services and the community.  Builds and maintains strategic relationships and customer loyalty among physicians, employees and the community.
