Florida Hospital Ocala opened its doors in 1898 as Marion General Hospital and has been in continuous operation since then. Then in 1928, the hospital was renamed to Munroe Memorial Hospital. Adventist Health System acquired Munroe Regional Medical and renamed it Florida Hospital Ocala in 2018. Florida Hospital Ocala is a 425-bed acute-care and offers a variety of services including, 24/7 Emergency Care, Diagnostic Testing, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery, Women’s Services, and Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy. Plans, develops, implements and coordinates the quality program for nursing to promote excellence in nursing care provision, including designing, measurement, implementation, data management and evaluation aspects of the program.  Plans, develops and coordinates initiatives and standards pertaining to professional practice standards to promote excellence in nursing care provision and professionalism of nursing at Munroe.  Evaluates and ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards in nursing in conjunction with Quality department and other interdisciplinary leaders.
What you will responsible for:
  • Directs and coordinates the shared governance structure and process for all areas where nurses practice.
  • Collaborates with nursing and interdisciplinary team leaders and members that impact nursing practice to champion changes and achieve positive outcomes
  • Collaborates with nursing and interdisciplinary team leaders and members in ensuring ongoing nursing evidenced-based practice and research initiatives are conducted and communicated.
  • Leads, coordinates and ensures the ongoing assessment and implementation of appropriate quality measures to effectively evaluate nursing care.
  • Maintains the National Database or Nursing Quality Indicators to ensure standardization measurement of nursing care and comparison measures for nursing sensitive quality.
  • Evaluates accrediting body readiness relevant to nursing and implements or refers areas for improvement to appropriate individual or team
  • Effectively collaborates with nursing leadership to ensure solutions for areas of improvement are identified and implemented
  • Leads or participates in teams and projects that positively impact the organization and patient care.
What you will need:
  • MSN in nursing
  • 5 years clinical, leadership and management experience required. 
  • Current Florida RN Licensure.
  • 3 years quality and accreditation/regulatory standards measurement and improvement strongly (Preferred)
  • Nursing executive or quality management certification (Preferred)
