You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Performs MRI/CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols and or radiologist preference.
  • Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.

  • Completes and enters all necessary charges contrast forms in the Cerner application, as well as any billables required.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach/gantry and during the exam.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in FHNP/AHS sponsored training programs.

  • Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the daily operations of a CT Scan Department.
  • Performs well physically and emotionally in a stressful environment

Job Summary:

The Imaging CT/MRI Supervisor in coordination with the Imaging director, and under the clinical supervision of the radiologist, shall be responsible for all the following duties and responsibilities.  These include, but are not limited to customer service, budgetary utilization, regulatory compliance, ACR renewal and standards, daily labor utilization, staff scheduling, staff annual competencies and education, performance improvement, image quality, continuous review of existing policy/procedures, CT dose reduction techniques and strategies, continuous MR safety processes, staff development and recognition, collaborates with department director new strategies/techniques/advancements in the field.  Communicates department/hospital initiatives effectively with staff. 

Under the direction of the Director, the CT/MR Supervisor provides leadership and oversight with all modality functions and patient care issues on a day-to-day basis.  Duties and responsibility may occur outside of typical office hours.

The CT/MR Supervisor is responsible for appropriate and safe care of patients in the Imaging Department, and specifically CT/MR suites.  He/she must work well with teams.  The CT/MR Supervisor will act as a liaison between the Imaging Department, the medical staff and other hospital personnel to provide quality care for patients in the Imaging Department.  He/she maintains and secures records in accordance with departmental policy and procedures as well as within state requirements.  He/she is responsible to adhere to the rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies and to the standards of accrediting bodies (ARRT, ACR).
