Project Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Project Manager, reporting to the Chief Financial Offer, is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects aligned with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collaborates with various leaders in the organization and vendors on new practice openings from a supply chain perspective, working closely with practice operations to build equipment lists based on need
  2. Negotiates directly with vendors on contracting/quotes for new medical equipment
  3. Understands RFP (Request for Proposal) creation/implementation for standardization of vendors for medical practices
  4. 50%-75% Local Travel Required

    5. Develops, engages, and manages cross functional teams during the project management process to identify roles and responsibilities, tasks, deliverables, dependencies, schedule, and to ensure resolution execution

    6. Identifies and analyzes data to determine organizational trends and performance opportunity

    7. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation

    8. Interfaces directly with project stakeholders to track progress and identify issues related to achieving project deadlines

    9. Provides project status communication to project teams and stakeholders via periodic updates and formal progress reports

  10. Drives day-to-day tasks and deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness of work

  11. Tracks project progress towards meeting objectives as well as identifies and mitigates possible deviations from established plans and timelines

  12. Builds and maintains custom dashboards and reports to analyze and communicate organizational performance

  13. Develops high-level reports for executive management

  14. Stays abreast of current industry trends through continuous learning and community involvement

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong Microsoft Suite computer proficiency; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and great attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently or with a team with minimal supervision

  • Professional attitude and conduct.  Trustworthy and works with discretion

  • Willing to learn new technology or processes

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration or related discipline and three years of experience in healthcare, or project management, or
  • Master’s degree in health or business administration and graduate of Physician Practice Management Residency

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ operations management experience preferred or combination of experience on large scale projects and education

                 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • Lean Performance Improvement Certification

  • Certification in a relevant performance improvement or project management methodology
