Program Director – Market Development – Network Development - Orlando

AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire Program Director – Market Development who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Facility Profile:

Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.

Job Summary:

The Development Manager of Network Development works directly with the Network Development team, Institute Leadership, IHS senior leadership and campus leadership to develop and implement planning and network development initiatives that elevate the brand and align with the Florida Division’s strategic plan and priorities. The Development Manager works closely with senior leadership in consulting and developing deployment and operating plans for the growth initiatives identified for the division. The Development Manager leads engagements with physicians and senior leadership. The Development Manager must have a passion for delivering high-quality and high-touch services to our community and have a genuine commitment to maintaining positive relationships with physicians. The Development Manager must be high energy, committed to producing individual results, and possess drive and desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, team-based environment. Actively participates in outstanding customer services and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Working knowledge of project management, market research and data analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field (Preferred)
  • Five years’ experience in healthcare, business development, strategic planning and/or operations
  • Three years leadership experience
  • Two years subject matter expertise in health care strategy development (Preferred)
  • Proforma and business plan development (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategy development and long-term planning for designated market in collaboration with physicians, market leaders, and business unit leaders
  • Develop all business plans and provide oversight to the proforma process; ensure all parties are informed, approvals are received, and implementation is successful
  • Drives all key stakeholders, ensuring accountability for timely and successful implementation of key initiatives
  • Identify, manage and cultivate new revenue and/or partnership strategies and relationships to secure new business opportunities
  • Directly responsible for ensuring assigned market has aggressive growth strategies aimed to improve market share, profitability and/or long-term viability and that key stakeholders are engaged in the execution of those strategies
  • Directly interface with FHPN and FHMG physicians and senior leadership for physician alignment assuring financial stability and market growth
  • Serve as an active business partner with the ACS, IHS and Institute leadership teams in the strategic development and vision of assigned market
  • Creates and tests alternate business models to allow for agility and responsiveness as market dynamics demand
  • Develops and implements business and network development initiatives to advance the market’s strategic plan and priorities
  • Responsible for cultivating and maintaining quality relationships with physicians and other key community partners in the market.
  • Establishes new strategic business models and/or joint ventures as appropriate to meet the changing demands of the healthcare market place and the specific market
  • Responsibility to operate in a compliant manner particularly as it relates to our relationships with physicians
  • Stays informed of regulatory changes
  • Seeks guidance from legal or compliance teams as appropriate
  • Indirect responsibilities to support financial performance of assigned market
  • Drives capital planning, proforma development and budgeting as it relates to new business ventures
  • Helps to develop volume budgets as it relates to the assigned market across service line and ambulatory business units
  • Provides executive-level strategic planning support to the organization as it relates to the assigned market. This includes key involvement in the annual planning cycle in addition to creating longer-range business plans.
  • Responsible for maintaining innovative thinking related to market development and asset placement.
  • Ensures FH service offerings are relevant, enhance the consumer and provider experience, and differentiators in the market.
  • Maintains deep and current knowledge of competitive activity and industry trends.
  • Ensures strategies are in alignment with Florida Hospital’s Central Florida Division One Plan.
  • Ensures efficient and timely execution of development plans.
  • Shares responsibility for product line volumes to ensure market success and viability through ongoing performance assessment
  • Recognizes deficiencies and addresses through cross-departmental work plans and influence; pivots strategies appropriately
  • Represents the Florida Hospital mission and brand.
  • Is an active member in their community.
  • At times will have supervisory oversight of Development Managers based on designated market line.
