GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for guiding the establishment, growth and maintenance of strategic relationships between physicians, their office staff and Florida Hospital.  Oversees marketing campaigns and strategies as it relates to physician marketing.  Maintains a strong understanding of hospital operations which assists in the guidance and management of team initiatives.  Manages the physician relations team with an innovative environment for growth and an atmosphere of open communication. 

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and directs the Physician Relations team of 13-15 employees.  Guides the implementation of strategic physician marketing plans and development and, understanding profitability, sets appropriate tracking mechanisms to achieve goals.
  • Communicates strategic initiatives and their outcomes to Senior Management
  • Executes a focused management of the FH Tampa, Carrolwood, North Pinellas, Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills Physician Relations teams to ensure strategic development and implementation of marketing plans for Senior Management
  • Works closely with consumer marketing leadership to coordinate strategic initiatives and implementation thereof, ensuring alignment between consumer and physician endeavors to support Senior Management business plans
  • Develops and directs Physician Relations team activities, enhancing professional growth and development of team members through educational curriculum/workshops, tools, etc. and ensures full participation in organizational imperatives (e.g. diversity training, etc.)
  • Monitors and guides activities that will assist in accomplishing quarterly accountabilities as well as specific campus goals, along with providing direction in personal development.
  • Responsible for range of HR oversight- hiring, firing, development of new positions and job descriptions, annual evaluations, training programs, etc.
  • Consults with FH Division in creating of physician relations teams, training of staff, etc. as needed.
  • Oversees implementation of marketing dollars, ensuring management to an annual budget


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to implement initiatives in a strategic manner with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of marketing and sales
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a matrixed work environment by demonstrating flexibility
  • Experience in working with physicians through relationship building
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Strong management experience
  • Experience in managing a diverse group of individuals
  • General knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Maintains positive attitude and conducts one’s self in a professional and responsible manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • Baccalaureate degree in Business, Marketing or Health Science
  • 2-5 years strong sales or management experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • 3-5 years healthcare or sales experience
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Care Administration

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

 

  • Current, valid State of Florida driver’s license, or within six months of hire

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • RN, RT
