Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Employed Medical Group physician recruitment and onboarding
  • Independent physician recruitment
  • Physician candidate relationship management
  • Initiation and management of contractual changes, including new agreements and amendments, with medical group(s) and AdventHealth Contract Review
  • Facilitation of onboarding process with various AdventHealth departments including Managed Care, Medical Staff, Practice Operations and external requirements like medical licensing and malpractice insurance

  • Physician recruiting association membership / certification (if applicable) – can be obtained with 90 days of employment
Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for recruiting and onboarding quality physicians to the AdventHealth medical staff, both for private practice and employed placement. To accomplish this, the Physician Recruitment Specialist will be familiar with and use multiple methods for sourcing physician candidates, including electronic, print, attending career fairs, relationships with regional medical schools, etc. This individual will be responsible for keeping in contact with key physicians/practices associated with AdventHealth and being aware of their recruitment needs. This individual will also assist with organizing candidate interviews and visits, and performing preliminary background screenings on potential candidates. This individual will be familiar with Federal legislation regarding physician recruitment, including Stark and Anti-Kick Back statutes. Also, the individual will regularly update the community/medical center needs analysis (with third party assistance) and be familiar with its’ contents. This individual will be familiar with the AdventHealth income guarantee process and assist administration, physicians, and candidates with the proper implementation of income guarantees. Will also be responsible for documenting interactions with physicians in the appropriate database.  This individual will be responsible for working closely with independent and employed medical groups to understand the material elements of required contractual arrangements. This position will be responsible for initiating, tracking, and monitoring current physician employment agreements for the AdventHealth facilities within the Mid-America region. This includes the submission of all employed physician employment agreements for AdventHealth Contract Review. Some travel will be required, and a valid driver’s license is required as well.
