Work Hours/Shift:
PRN Variable Shifts
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Emergency Department/Medication History
  • Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions
  • Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services
  • Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
  • Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient‐specific medication doses
  • Facilitates medication safety practices

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • High school degree
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state
  • If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification
  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare (preferred)
  • One year of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
  • Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) (preferred)
 
Job Summary:

Prepares and organizes pharmacy medications by name and dosage, as listed on patient orders. To provide safe and accurate medication services and to support all those involved in direct patient care.
