Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Managed and supervise all admitting associates in Outpatient Admitting, Main Entrance Admitting, Women’s Center and Birth Center
  • Strives to meet monthly and annual upfront cash collection goals for each team
  • Conducts daily cash report reconciliation and reports numbers to Finance
  • Maintain weekly Patient Access Dashboard and suggest improvement if needed
  • Analyze Patient Access Corporate Dashboard monthly results and provide feedback to Director on identified areas for improvement as well as Ancillary Directors
  • Maintains each team’s monthly RQI score of 98% as well as provide feedback to ancillary leaders on results
  • Review Press Ganey scores and comments each week and provides feedback to associates on the results
  • Timekeeper for all admitting areas
  • Works to continually improve the employee satisfaction scores as measured by the Gallup Q12 survey
  • Develops new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work in the performed admitting areas
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions
  • Remain current with EMTALA regulations and how they affect Patient Access

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Credentialed or certified with one or more of the following: American Academy of Sleep Medicine -Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Up to 1 Year of Experience
 
 
Job Summary:

The Patient Access Operations Manager has accountability, authority and responsibility of quality of services, operational management and human resource management for all admitting locations that report to Patient Access. The Patient Access Operations Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing all admitting areas that report to Patient Access as well as overseeing the processes, standards and metrics of all ancillary locations that do not report to Patient Access but provide registration to patients.

The Operations Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the processes, quality and efficiencies of every location within SMH that does registration and admitting functions. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Director of Patient Access as well as each Clinical Ancillary Director to ensure that the quality, education and standards are shared and met. The Operations Manager will be responsible for streamlining processes while promoting quality, increasing patient and employee satisfaction while adhering to all regulatory rules of the hospital, State and/or departmental policy. 

The Operations Manager will foster the integration of the organization’s vision and values and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team.  As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Operations Manager collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations for a patient focused and healing environment.

The Operations Manager will assist the Director of Patient Access with planning, organizing and directing processes related to registration functions, registration and insurance accuracy, upfront cash collections and will work to ensure consistency of admitting processes in all areas that report directly to the Operations Manager and associates that report to the Clinical Directors of all Ancillary locations. The Operations Manager will monitor and evaluate stats provided by the Patient Access Quality Analyst and will set and monitor goals in accordance with Patient Access Corporate metrics and standards.  The Operations Manager will be responsible for assessing processes and workflows to ensure efficient operations in all SMH admitting areas.  The Operations Manager will oversee all personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules. Additional duties and related work as required and assigned by management.
