Work Hours/Shift:

PRN / Per Diem Nights

You Will Be Responsible For:

•         Serves as liaison between Administration and AdventHealth Waterman employees.

•         Throughput-facilities and is aware of bottle necks/barriers to patient placement.

•         Collaborate with nursing leadership to remove barriers.

•         Conducts unit rounds twice a day in all patient care areas.

•         Assigns census level per policy.

•         Engages with Nursing Directors and managers to address issues in a timely manner.

•         Timely in decision making.

•         Supports bed ahead process.

•         Assist with de-escalation and conflict with patients/family members.

•         Support staff.

•         Responds to Code Blue and RRT calls – as crowd controller.

•         Aware of the STEMI Process and Stroke Alert Process

•         Collaborative/Support Charge Nurse group to ensure proper staffing per staffing grid.

•         Communicates staff observations.

•         Intervenes to solve patient care concerns.

•         Enforces facility and departmental policies and procedures.

•         Represents Nursing Administration. Communicates with the media.

•         Manages/organizes workload.

•         Computer data entry as assigned. Activates OR call schedule per policy.

•         Procurement of medical records, supplies, pharmacy, dietary.

•         Demonstrates ability to facilitate change.

•         Accepts physician’s orders.

•         Orders and cancels agency personnel.


Qualifications
 What will you need?

•         Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.

•         Registered Nurse currently licensed in Florida.

•         Certified in life saving competency skills. BLS/ACLS



Job Summary:

The RN House Supervisor is the designated nursing administrative supervisor on duty 24 hours per day and 7 days per week who applies recognized standards of practice and nursing care.  They serve to facilitate thru put at all levels of the hospital and work with all departments to ensure quality, safe care is administered.  The Supervisor monitors staffing levels and employee relations at all times. The supervisor is instrumental in process improvement which includes providing direct staff coaching and follow up with individual unit leadership.  The house supervisor works closely with physicians, effective, positive communication is essential.
