Each patient room is private, and the uniquely designed "clover leaf" patient care units consist of 60 beds per floor. The Emergency Department is sized to accommodate up to 60,000 visits per year.

You will be responsible for:
  • Communicates patient information
  • Provides/assists in activities of daily living
  • Maintains patient hygiene
  • Works effectively as a team member
  • Adapts to change in workload
  • Specimen collection
  • EKG’s
  • Maintains clean and orderly unit
  • Patient data collection
  • Proficient use of equipment
  • Skills competency
  • Responds to patient needs
  • In addition to the education training and demonstrated competency of one or more of the following:
    • Splinting
    • Foley insertion
    • Phlebotomy
    • OR instrumentation
    • Newborn hearing screens
    • Supports patient flow
    • Patient transportation
    • Precepts new employees
    • Other duties as assigned
What will you need?
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be currently enrolled in 2nd year of an accredited nursing program or has recently completed an accredited nursing program and has not passed the nursing state boards
  • Certified in Basic Life Support by the AHA.
  • Prior direct patient care experience
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients and families
