Work Hours/Shifts

You Will Be Responsible For: 
  • Articulates managed care reimbursement methodology and contract language.
  • Verifies all documents and spreadsheets for accuracy before distribution.
  • Administers safeguards to insure the accuracy of Managed Care reimbursements and departmental statistics.
  • Works with department managers in preparing charge master pricing.
  • Works with others to ensure adherence to credentialing protocols.
  • Analyzes the SMH revenue on an as needed basis, looking for trends and revenue opportunities.

  • Responds to all verbal and written communication in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keeps department manager informed of all pertinent activity.
  • Completes specific analysis to keep management informed of monthly activity.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and business information.
  • Handles assigned tasks related to Managed Care policy, budget preparation and analysis, administration and system analysis.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to assure proper managed care standards are met.
  • Prioritizes work load to meet deadlines.
  • Assists in gathering information and provides explanations as needed.
  • Serves as a resource to other departments, managers, and others within the system on Managed Care issues.
  • Knowledgeable in hospital Managed Care policies.
  • Serves as a resource for other managed care personnel.
  • Monitors and assess the managed care activities as needed to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Verifies all documents and spreadsheets for accuracy before distribution.
  • Administers safeguards to insure the accuracy of Managed Care reimbursements and departmental statistics. 
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
Job Summary:
Understands revenue cycle for all SMH entities. Work with Department Managers and Administration to prepare special requests and analysis.  Understand and articulate managed care reimbursement methodology and contract language. Understands payer policy and procedures. Understands the credentialing process for providers and facilities.
