Work Hours/Shift:

Full time / Nights

You Will Be Responsible For:

•         Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

•         Maintain inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies, including anesthesia carts, emergency airway carts, and the anesthesia supply areas.

•         Prepare anesthesia supplies and anesthesia equipment.

•         Assist in transporting patients and equipment as needed.

•         Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to anesthesia technician activities.

•         Support patient care for the population served.

•         Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information

•         Delegate tasks according to the state Nurse Practice Act and job descriptions. .

•         Collaborate effectively with other disciplines as applicable.

•         Participate in quality review and performance improvement projects.

•         Participate in the performance appraisal process.

•         Use problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships with team members.

•         Maintain required competencies.

•         Pursue professional growth and participates in a professional organization.

•         Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.

•         Any additional duties assigned that are in support of perioperative patient care.


What You Will Need:

•      Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing

•      Current LVN licensure in Texas

•      Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

•      Certified anesthesia technician (Cer.A.T.) or equivalent certification preferred

•      Certified IV Therapist preferred

•      Computer skills (eg, Microsoft® PowerPoint, Word, Excel) preferred

•      Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

•      Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on patient population preferred


Job Summary:

Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies necessary for administration of general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia and supports anesthesia services. Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations receiving anesthesia.
