Interventional Technologist PRN -  Texas Health Huguley- operated as joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Resolves customer service issues in a timely, courteous and efficient manner.

    • When function is achieved with minimal (less than 10%) customer complaints. 

    • Appropriate management of issues that did occur. 

    • Informing supervisor of any unresolved or resolved issues with patient satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures on all patient age groups and ability to teach the same.

    • Able to perform patient care independently on patients of all groups.

  • Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex

    • Never refuses to provide any patient with efficient and courteous care

  • Technologist is proficient on the use of their specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures

    • Independently operate imaging equipment in a safe and proper fashion

  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families and Imaging services administration

  • Wears TLD badge daily.  Reviews their monthly radiation exposure reports.  Uses radiation restrictive devices on all examinations.  Follows ALARA.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as Cerner, Current PACS application.

  • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures.

  • Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education.

  • Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures.

  • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff.

  • High School Diploma or GED upon hire

  • Diploma from an approved school of Radiologic Technology upon hire
  • Two years’ experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist
  • Current Texas Radiological Technology license.
  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Associates Degree preferred

  • 1 Year Interventional Experience preferred

 

Job Summary:

The interventional technologist is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team consisting of interventional radiologists, nurses and technologists. Interventional technology procedures consist of diagnostic angiography, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
