You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Leads the day-to-day operations and finances of the Hospitalist medical practice and aligns these initiatives with the strategic vision of AdventHealth to promote overall practice growth and development. 
  • Works to create an environment of efficient practice operations in cooperation with the appropriate support systems to provide timely and accurate information as needed.  Maintains working knowledge of industry trends, legislation and regulatory standards, related to practice operations. Determines fiscal requirements, assists in the preparation of annual budgets for the Hospitalist practice and strives to meet expense expectations.  Reviews and evaluates the performance of practice and provides relevant information to the Chief Medical Officer. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the revenue cycle management process, of governmental and compliance requirements as well as fiscal management.
  • Responsible for ensuring the consistent and appropriate interpretation, evaluation and application of the policies and procedures as established by AdventHeatlh.  Promotes and develops effective and efficient communication strategies in order to promote a positive work environment and optimal operational workflow.  Maintains a process of consistent accountability by promoting effective customer service strategies.  Aligns with peers to identify challenges in the environment, opportunities for improvement and items requiring intervention as appropriate.  Proactively facilitates and manages change to foster employee and leadership acceptance and support. Supports the optimal operational workflow of the Hospitalist practice through cooperation, collaboration, communication, and flexibility with support departments on their behalf.
What You Will Need:
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a healthcare setting
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CMOM certification (within two (2) years of hire)
  • Practical knowledge and experience in working with practice management software systems with the ability to direct workflow in order to optimize operations.
  • Experience in budgetary finance and accounting skills with regards to practice management and operations.
  • Excellent communication & organization skills.
Job Summary:

The Hospitalist Practice Manager is responsible for the overall operational success of the Hospitalist medical practice.  Provides strategic leadership and direction utilizing the tools that have been provided, including the coordination of all practice activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment.  Responsible for providing support service to the Hospitalist practice including compliance, auditing, coding, credentialing, accounts receivable, and denial management and ensures cost-effective, high-quality health care services for all patients. Works in collaboration with AdventHealth support departments in order to meet the needs of the Hospitalist practice to maintain efficient operations.  This position requires a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment, and follow-through on a wide range of sensitive and complex issues.
