Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full Time / Day
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Supervises activities related to insurance benefit coordination and authorization, patient collections, and maximization of revenue and implements processes throughout the practice(s).
  • Maintains efficiency, accuracy and productivity within the department.  Monitors targets and maintains thresholds.  Holds staff meetings as scheduled and necessary.
  • Manages memo pad requests and tracks for error trends.  Designs and implements corrective action where applicable.
  • Serves as a liaison and meets regularly with the AdventHealth Billing Department to troubleshoot and work complex denials. Identifies repetitive denials and implements corrective actions as applicable.
  • Ensures excellent service to all internal and external customers.  Ensures all staff can accurately identify customers.  Actively participates in customer service and Gallup action plans.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • High school graduate or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and collections required.
  • Knowledge of governmental and compliance regulations required.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures for insurance reimbursement and patient collections.
  • Skill in exercising high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve organization objectives.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
 
Job Summary:

The Financial Supervisor is responsible for the overall success of patient collections, financial counseling, and insurance benefit coordination and authorization functions for a specific medical practice(s).  Leads process improvement activities related to collections and maximization of revenue and implements process improvement. Reports to Business Manager or Office/Practice Manager.
