Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitors timeliness and effectiveness of activities, ensuring that outstanding patient accounts and accounts receivables is no more than the agreed upon limit and that bad debt is within budgeted target.
  • Monitor key performance metrics in the revenue cycle daily and address issues in a timely manner to maximize cash flow.
  • Track, trend and analyze payer rejects, denials and correspondence to enable further automation and process improvements.
  • Works closely to train staff, as well as define and implement procedures on front-end processes.
  • Identifies problem sources and develops action plans for continuous improvements.
  • Monitors effectiveness of collection efforts and maintains insurance billings are current within the established time frame specified in the department policy.
  • Processes patients’ complaints related to billing and collections.
  • Assist Controller with year-end audits with public accounting firms and third-party auditors as they relate to A/R operations.
  • Perform periodic audits of patient records for accuracy quality control. 


What will you need?

  • Must have, as a minimum 5 year’s experience in Skilled Nursing (LTC) including billing and management capacity.
  • Must possess at a minimum, a high school diploma.
  • Multiple facility experience preferred.
  • Must be familiar with UB04 and HICFA 1500
  • Business Office Manager Long Term Care (preferred).
  • Accounts Receivable Long Term Care experience (preferred)
  • Point Click Care (PCC) experience (preferred)

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle using available resources to establish best practices as they relate to billing, collection and reporting.
