Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • •         Drives organizational transformation and process improvement within AdventHealth DeLand to sustain a culture of world class employee engagement, patient experience and physician engagement.  

    •         Works collaboratively with senior leadership to establish the priorities and goals for process improvement as well as provides leadership direction for these projects.

    •         Works collaboratively with Regional and Corporate partners to enhance training programs and business culture.

    •         Coordinates practical and verifiable training opportunities as part of ongoing Leadership training and development.

    •         Develops and implements initiatives that support cultural and change management objectives.

    •         Facilitates the implementation of organization development interventions.

    •         Supports Senior Leadership in the development of a physician on-boarding program.

    •         Serves as a consultant to facilitate team training on an as-needed basis (hiring, crucial conversations, problem solving).

    •         Diagnoses leadership and cultural gaps and develops leadership training programs to address development needs that will become hardwired processes.

    •         Designs, develops, coordinates, implements, delivers and evaluates leader training programs that support business objectives and are aligned with the organization’s business plan and culture.

    •         Develops and implements leader and staff development programs that support the organization’s succession plan and cultural expectations.

    •         Supports ongoing improvement updates to the training and education program based upon its effectiveness, success and ROI.

    •         Maintains a keen understanding of adult learning, training and education trends, developments and best practices.

    •         Operates within a wide variety of training design methods, re-imagining creative and innovative tools, techniques and approaches to achieve excellent comprehension, proficiency and performance results from leaders and staff.

    •         Partners with the Organizational Development Manager to support internal stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding instructional design.

What You Will Need:
  • •         5+ years training design experience in a professional environment (healthcare preferred)

    •         2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment

  • •         Knowledge of organizational development, cultural transformation and process improvement strategies and processes

    •         Knowledge of adult learning styles and training strategy, group process facilitation and delivery

    •         Knowledge of designing, implementing, and managing traditional and modern training methods and techniques

    •         Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools

    •         Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)

    •         Microsoft Office suite experience with advanced PowerPoint and Word skills

  • •         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with strong record of academic achievement, preferably in adult education and/or related professional disciplines (Preferred)

    •         Advanced degree (Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development) (Preferred)

    •         3+ years training team leadership and management experience (Preferred)

  • •         5+ years with Learning Management System (LMS) experience i.e., NetLearning, Cornerstone, etc. (Preferred)

    •         3+ years internal consultation and corporate training experience working with Senior Leaders utilizing the skills and knowledge described above to improve work groups, teams and organizations (preferred)

Job Summary:

The Director of Organizational Development and Culture provides leadership and direction for Organization and Cultural Transformation, ensuring organizational goals are aligned and achieved through the identified best practices and methods.  This Leader will work closely with the Nursing team, Patient Experience team and Human Resources to assess organizational development and cultural needs and priorities while providing 1:1 coaching for physicians and current leaders as identified.  This Leader will participate in overall direction and implementation of organization-wide leadership development system and process that will enhance leader development and culture.  The Leader will develop short and long term plans for process improvement and supportive leadership development to ensure alignment with organizational strategic objectives capabilities and values.
