Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days

You Will Be Responsible For:


  • Effectively plans the goals, objectives, and work flow of the department to achieve optimal performance. 

  • Successfully meets department productivity goals by scheduling staff according to workload.

  • Assures the department is compliant with all regulatory agency (CAP, AABB, JCAHO, CLIA, etc.) requirements.

  • Prepares quality assurance data in a timely manner.

  • Evaluates the capital equipment needs of the department and makes responsible recommendations for procurement.

  • Assures the department meets corporate compliance policies.

  • Promotes the department within the hospital.

  • Assures department issues and errors are corrected in a timely manner.

  • Effectively promotes, encourages, and provides continuing education opportunities for department staff.

  • Represents the department at appropriate meetings and/or committees and actively participates in the facility’s' Performance Improvement program

  •  Works diligently to recruit and retain competent staff in the department and effectively manages staff disciplinary actions.

  • Appropriately implements solutions based on accurate and timely statistical and financial data

  • Manages departmental inventory, ordering, storage, and utilization as appropriate

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience working in supply chain department

    OR  

  • > 10 years’ experience working in a supply chain department

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•         Five years of leadership experience

•         Previous experience as a hospital materials manager

•         Master's degree preferred

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • None

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • One or more of the following Supply Chain Certifications:

  • AHRMM Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)

  • Association for Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification

  • Certified Medical Insurance Specialist (CMIS)

  • Six Sigma

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

•         Supervises facility-level Supply Chain staff
