GENERAL SUMMARY:


Provides overall and day to day leadership to the Central Verification Office (CVO) for the West Florida Region.  The Director is a highly visible position that works in collaboration with facility Chief Medical Officers (CMO), CEO’s and AHS Corporate Office representatives, with accountability at the regional and facility levels to lead, coordinate and execute strategic initiatives related to credentialing, privileging and practitioner database management and professional activities. Ensures all duties and CVO functions are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and compliant with professional, regulatory and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Able to communicate effectively in additional languages (i.e. Spanish)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress in management, business or health related field or 10 years related field experience
  • If Bachelor’s Degree is in progress, required to be completed within 24 months of hire.
  • 10 years’ experience medical staff office management and administration.
  • 7 years of administrative/management experience, including supervisory experience, in a hospital, managed care, or health related field.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in management, business or health related field.
  • 10 years of management experience, including supervisory experience, in a hospital, managed care, or health related field.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • CPCS or CPMSM Certified
  • If holding one certification, required to obtain second certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • CPCS and CPMSM Certified.
