Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time, Days
 
You Will Be Responsible For:

Essential Functions:
  • Provides clerical and organizational support to the Director of Cardiovascular Services and to all departments in Cardiovascular Services.
  • Coordinates and performs all required monthly statistical analysis information for the Cardiovascular Services Department.
  • Provides clerical and organizational support for both the Open Heart and PCI/Stent programs.
  • Provides assistance with any charge related issues in the Cardiovascular Services Department.
  • Manages departmental calendar and e-mails for the Cardiovascular Director and for the departmental  supervisors.
  • Assists as a backup person for scheduling of Cath Lab procedures.
  • Assists in the coordination of flow for testing for  both inpatients and outpatients including activation into Cerner and notifying the correct Cardiodiagnostic personnel of the patient’s arrival.
  • Answers telephone calls, route calls and takes messages appropriately.
  • Demonstrates commitment to all department and hospital compliance policies.
 Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Exhibits excellent customer relations.
  • Follows all human resource policies.
  • Treats customers in all age ranges including neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric.
  • Displays flexibility to accept new or different assignments.
  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • High school graduate/equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office/terminology desired.
  • Must be proficient in the English language.
  • Experienced in Microsoft applications including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Access
