Work Hours/Shifts

Full Time

You will be responsible for:

  • Assures that all foods are cooked to the state of being done and holds foods in safe zones,
  • Cleans and sanitizes all work environments,
  • Cooks and bakes all hot foods for patient tray line and/or cafeteria servery,
  • Modifies any food to meet various diets as required,
  • Sets up food for cafeteria server,
  • Sets up food for patient tray line,
  • Serves on patient tray line and/or cafeteria servery as directed,
  • Assists in the ordering of food stock as appropriate,
  • Must take necessary precautions and follow correct procedures for lifting and bending
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and regulations
  • Cooperates with staff of other departments in performing job duties
  • Demonstrates knowledge of fire safety procedures
Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Knowledge of HAACP standards
  • Food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Food preparation knowledge
  • Basic kitchen equipment knowledge
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Minimum of one (1) year cook/baker experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
  • Minimum of two (2) year cook/baker experience (preferred)
  • Chef’s Certification (preferred)
  • Culinary Arts Certification (preferred)
