Community Clinical Liaison - Healthy Eatonville Place - Orlando

Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire a Community Clinical Liaison who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Job Summary:

The Community Clinical Liaison’s primary responsibilities are to build relationships, conduct a variety of outreach activities, coordinate volunteers and recruit and retain participants for all of Healthy Eatonville Place’s (HEP) programs. Assist the Program Manager with HRA (Health Risk Assessment) labs, biometric and protocols. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including assisting the Program Manager, Registered Nurse with labs and other study requirements
  • Committed to the mission of serving the community
  • Ability to handle multiple task, simultaneously, in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ability to support, network and motivate staff, volunteers and participants
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively
  • Must be able to work under stress of meeting deadlines and changing priorities
  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or Graduate of an EMT/Paramedic program
  • Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and use of the internet. (preferred)
  • Associate degree in social science (preferred)
  • Minimum two years’ experience in successful community outreach/recruitment and volunteer coordination (preferred)

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Certification or American Medical technologist (AMT) Certification or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) OR
  • Current State of Florida EMT, OR
  • Current active State of Florida Paramedic license
  • BLS
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attends and participates in community outreach events, community meetings, relevant councils, round tables or committee’s events when assigned by the Program Manager that target Eatonville and surrounding communities and community organizations.
  • Delivers safe care and demonstrates regard for dignity and respect of all participants. Maintains adequate skills in clinical competencies, practices Universal Precautions and understands and abides by HIPAA regulations.
  • Works in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant to recruit participants for all HEP programs.
  • Assists with HRA (Health Risk Assessment) lab draw, data collection, data entry and data analysis. Follows specific protocol guidelines in accordance with trial protocols, FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines.
  • Participates in internal and/or external training programs; staying current and compliant on knowledge and skills applicable to assigned duties.
  • Manipulates normal business machines and technology; i.e. operate computer and computer systems, office copiers, fax, remote access, and telephone.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Shows a willingness to accept new responsibilities and adapts to potential department changes. Accepts and profits from direction and constructive feedback.
