What you will responsible for:
The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation reports to the Director of Patient Safety. The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation takes a leadership role in investigating reports of any serious event involving actual or potential injury to patients or visitors to assess liability and probability of legal action.  This professional conducts proactive and reactive safety analyses, including root cause analysis and failure mode and effect analysis to develop a process and plan for change that can be constantly monitored and evaluated for effectiveness.
The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation performs activities and duties related to the peer review process, including medical record review of cases meeting established indicators, preparation of case summaries for physician review and follow-up as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Leads Clinical Risk Management efforts 
•   Manages Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance efforts
•   Functions as the Peer Review Coordinator for Medical Staff & Nursing Peer Review
•   Oversees Organizational Policy Tracking & Updates
•   Oversees Student Onboarding Process

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

     
•         Masters of Science in Nursing

     
•         Minimum: 5 years of clinical nursing experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

     
•         Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

    
•         Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent
