Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

1.      Comply with all department policies, procedures, practices and standards of care.

2.      Supervises the Physician Business Development team to promote a strong agency growth.

3.      Enhances and promotes the agency within the marketplace by providing information and education on our services to physicians, other key medical professionals, facilities, organizations, and consumers.

4.      Maintains a strong working knowledge of the competitive landscape with AHHC’s market and keeps Administrator informed of changes.

5.      Clinical Physician Business Development Supervisor is proactive in offering suggestions on how to combat competition.  Works in conjunction with Administrator to develop strategies to better position AdventHealth Home Care within the marketplace.

6.      Responsible for creating a business development plan for territory to include goals, objectives, strategies & tactics.

7.      Assists Administrator in establishing referral targets and goals

8.      Effectively ID’s and cultivates new business growth opportunities.  Responsible for calling on a least five (5) new potential referral sources a week.  Documents activities in weekly report which is submitted to the Administrator.

9.      Clinical Physician Business Development Supervisor will make an average of four (4) face-to-face calls with referral source decision makers each work day.  Documents activities in weekly report.

10.   Ability to adapt to marketplace changes and adjusts sales strategies accordingly.

11.   Reviews monthly referral lists and patterns to determine where to adjust and/or re-focus efforts.

12.   Completes and turns in by deadlines, all required referral reports, call log, and monthly sales/referral plans along with any other reports/paperwork as requested.

13.   Establishes and maintains a current list of referral sources including referral pattern(s), phone number(s), e-mail address, physical address, name(s) of decision maker(s) and specialty(s).

14.   Proactively addresses customer service/referral source issues.  Communicates those issues to Administrator in a timely manner (same day) and assists in developing solutions to problems.  Provides timely call backs within 24 hours in order to maintain ongoing communication.

15.   Represents the company at health fairs, other community service/networking functions, and hospital events and participates in civic and/or community committees as requested.  ID’s speaking opportunities for AHHC administration.

16.   Has a thorough understanding of insurance reimbursements including Medicare, Commercial and private pay.

17.   Champions the mission and vision of the organization and projects a positive and professional image of the agency within the community.

18.   Adheres to company’s professional dress code.

19.   Demonstrate cost-effective practices.

20.   Participate in orientation, in-service and staff meetings as scheduled.

21.   Secures patient confidentiality by protecting patient information on and off duty.

22.   Develop skills through attendance at staff development meetings, pertinent educational activities.

23.   Complete related tasks as assigned by the Administrator.

24.   Maintains current driver’s license and automobile insurance.


Qualifications

What You Will Need:

•       Demonstrates knowledge of marketing strategies and skills

•       Demonstrates high level of knowledge r/t Home Care services

        Knowledge of home care reimbursement methodologies, including but not           limited to: Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Private Insurances and Self         Pay.

•       A high level of multitasking, organization and proactive communications skills    are necessary

•       Problem solving abilities

•       Positive interpersonal communication skills

•       Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills

•       Team and customer service oriented

•       Basic computer skills required including but not limited to MS Office

  Graduate of a professional school of nursing or therapy – Registered Nurse,        Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathologist.

  Three (3) years of proven health care sales experience

Preferred education and experience:

One (1) year of Home Health Care sales experience.



Job Summary:

Supervises the Physician Business Development team for the department and provides them with professional guidance in the performance of their duties.  The Clinical Physician Business Development Supervisor is primarily responsible for overall coordination of the business development activities within a target market including expanding existing referral channels and growing new business opportunities for home health care and its service lines.  Initiates and maintains ongoing professional contacts with physicians, SNF’s, ALF’s, community organizations and similar groups and institutions.  Reports to the Regional Administrator or their designee.  Communicate with Clinical Supervisor/ DON/Manager/Director or designee regarding any referral concerns or special circumstances.  Ensure all communication to customers both internal and external, is respectful, prompt and comprehensive and that patient communication is based on age specific needs.   Complete documentation according to Organizational Policy and Regulatory guidelines.  Attends meetings including but not limited to; staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, educational classes, office meetings and/or organization meetings.  Continued employment with the organization is contingent upon your ability to perform job duties in this job description.
