Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full Time Day/Evening Shift 12PM - 9PM. 
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Performs post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing as needed to support laboratory’s needs, such as but not limited to, direct client/customer communication, report retrieval and distribution, account editing, and problem resolution,  
  • Performs various support activities to meet internal and external customer needs and facilitate laboratory operations.  Provides specimen collection instructions and information via the phone for nursing units, physician offices, other hospitals, and nursing homes; dispatches phlebotomy or couriers to community clients; faxes/obtains patient or insurance information; serves as call center for core laboratory; directs calls as needed to appropriate person/department; and clarifies orders as needed for Laboratory staff.
  • Participates in laboratory and hospital Performance Improvement activities, including evaluation of new equipment and/or procedures or methods.
  • Provides resolution to customer service issues within guidelines, and supports education to hospital and community-based customers.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Three years customer service related experience.
  • Must have one year of experience in a laboratory setting. 
Job Summary:

The Client Services Representative performs laboratory support procedures, including clerical, reception and minor administrative services. Works on various clinical laboratory processes and support functions including answering the telephone and providing clinical and operational support to community and hospital customers.  Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
