Job Summary:

The AdventHealth Waterman Childcare Center is a Christian Daycare center dedicated to providing high quality care for children during their early years.  Our teachers bring mind and heart together in the daily routine to provide the comfort and guidance little ones need with activities that meet their developmental and social growth.  This childcare benefit is provided  to the Waterman employees on campus and encourages frequent parental visits as their schedules allow.  The Manager leads the team of childcare staff to assess and plan effective and creative activities using the Funshine Curriculum, and includes physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual care for children.  We take a personal interest in each child and work cooperatively with parents so that the children placed in our care experience happiness and encouragement within a safe and trusted environment.  Our goal is to foster the joy and enthusiasm  of children during their early years and provide love and care each day for the AdventHealth Waterman staff and affiliated employees.


Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time
 
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Oversee day to day operations of the Children’s Center
  •  Maintain Center compliance with DCF regulation.
  •  Develop and update all center policies.
  •  Compute and prepare payroll deduction report for child care fees
  •  Interview and tour new prospective enrollees.
  •  Plan, organize and communicate special programs, including Christmas programs, graduation and summer programs.
  •  Develop, update and prepare job descriptions/ performance appraisals for caregivers, teachers and coordinators.
  •  Prepare and adhere to annual operating budget
  •  Complete annual relicensing packet and adhere to all rules and regulations of DCF.
  • Provide staff with a daily schedule and hold them accountable to follow.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • DCF Rules and Regulations
  • Early Childhood development and curriculum
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • AA Degree Early Childhood Education
  • Current Staff Credential
  • Current Director Credential  
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
  • Staff Credential
  • Director Credential
  • Basic Life Support BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
