The Senior Bundle Operations Manager is responsible for regional oversight of Bundle Operations, under the direction of the Executive Director of Service Line Bundles. Will work with Regional leaders and be responsible for leading and supporting bundled program related management and communications processes, including program education, training, workstream meetings, quarterly steering committee meetings and adherence to the program requirements.  Collaborate across the organization with various departments involved with Bundle program implementation and management, including physician leadership, case management, physical therapy, PHSO, clinical service line leaders, and information technology. Lead and support recurring operational analyses of the bundle program performance to validate existing operational interventions and identify additional program interventions. Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to implement new program care redesign initiatives in the acute and post-acute settings.  Lead and support training and communication efforts to involve and engage clinical and non-clinical staff in the bundle program. Lead and support the organization’s engagement with other healthcare provider organizations involved in the bundled payment program management, including post-acute care providers, physician groups, and other entities, include care redesign and related contracting requirements. Lead or co-lead quality improvement collaboratives, sprints or 90-day climbs which includes creating and organizing the content of the initiative and involving other areas of expertise from AHS Corporate departments or other subject matter experts as needed to improve outcomes of bundled payment models.  Lead and support the regions relationship with the 3rd party organizations involved in the bundle program implementation, including but not limited to the organization’s bundle program convener. Prepares and analyzes and presents reports and recommendations to the Executive Director of Service Line Bundles regarding the bundle program, services, reimbursement and other applicable areas of interest to provide concise and accurate information that aids in decision-making
Qualifications
What you will be responsible for:
  • Will work with Regional leaders and be responsible for leading and supporting bundled program related management and communications processes, including program education, training, workstream meetings, quarterly steering committee meetings and adherence to the program requirements
  • Collaborate across the organization with various departments involved with the bundle program implementation and management, including physician leadership, case management, physical therapy, PHSO, clinical service line leaders, and information technology; assist with supporting resources needed for the bundle program implementation and day-to-day operations
  • Lead and support recurring operational analyses of the bundle program performance to validate existing operational interventions and identify additional bundle program interventions;
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to implement new bundled payment program care redesign initiatives in the acute and post-acute settings
  • Lead and support training and communication efforts to involve and engage clinical and non-clinical staff in the bundle program
  • Lead and support the organization’s relationship with 3rd party organizations involved in the bundled program implementation, including but not limited to the organization’s BPCI-A program convener
  • Lead and support the organization’s engagement with other healthcare provider organizations involved in BPCI-A program management, including post-acute care providers, physician groups, and other entities, include care redesign and related contracting requirements.
  • Lead or co-lead quality improvement collaboratives, sprints or 90-day climbs which includes creating and organizing the content of the initiative and involving other areas of expertise from AHS Corporate departments or other subject matter experts as needed to improve outcomes of bundled payment models.
  • Prepares and analyzes and presents reports and recommendations to the Executive Director of Service Line Bundles regarding the bundle program, services, reimbursement and other applicable areas of interest to provide concise and accurate information that aids in decision-making
  • Participates as a subject-matter expert and may lead or facilitate task forces, teams and councils to plan, implement and coordinate programs, services and activities for the region.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • At least 8 years of experience with program management approaches and concepts; experience working on large, multidisciplinary programs, any healthcare consulting and/or healthcare provider industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • 5 years of experience working with physicians and clinical teams
  • Experience with Bundle Payment methodologies
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Knowledge of CMS/CMMI value-based payment programs; BPCI / BPCI-A program knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of hospital operations, discharge planning, and specific role of the case management, physical therapy, and hospital medicine departments
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry post-acute provider ecosystem
  • Knowledge of healthcare provider reimbursement
