GENERAL SUMMARY:  Reporting directly to the Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer – West Florida Region-North (RCRO), the Assistant Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer – West Florida Region (ARCRO) is responsible for assisting the RCRO in the day-to-day operations of the corporate responsibility function for the Florida Hospital West Florida Region-North.  This includes working in association or at the direction of the RCRO and independently within the context of the Corporate Responsibility Program structure.  Job responsibilities primarily include assistance with administration and oversight of the Corporate Responsibility program at the West Florida Region Hospitals and Ancillary Services and coordination of the Monitoring & Auditing Plans at the following Hospitals, Florida Hospital Tampa, Florida Hospital Carrollwood, Florida Hospital at Connerton Long Term Acute Care Hospital, Florida Hospital North Pinellas, Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, and Florida Hospital Dade City.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of the culture and working environment in Adventist Health System.
  • Ability to understand the healthcare regulatory environment.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbally and written) with senior leadership and all other levels of personnel throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills in compliance related activities.
  • Demonstrable skill in the use of productivity software including MS Word, MS Excel
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel to Region Hospitals.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Prefer experience with Microsoft Access

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or other healthcare related field.
  • Minimum of three years healthcare compliance, regulatory, or financial auditing experience or completion of AHS Residency in Corporate Responsibility.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Law, or Business Administration preferred.

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • Healthcare compliance certification required or obtained within first year, licensure not required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervision responsibilities except in the absence of the RCRO
