Accreditation Tracer Program Coordinator – Quality Systems – Maitland

AdventHealth seeks to hire an Accreditation Tracer Program Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Work Hours/Shifts:

Monday – Friday; 8a – 5p



Job Summary:

The Accreditation Tracer Coordinator works in collaboration with administration, physicians, and clinical team members to improve patient safety and quality. This individual is actively involved in performing patient care interview tracers to ensure that the organization is in a constant state of regulatory readiness. Serves as a resource and coaches staff to maximize individual performance in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Coordinator adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.



Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and demonstrated ability to interpret standards with respect to hospital operations
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Teaching skills with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information in understandable terms to staff at all levels within the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by written memorandums and oral presentations
  • Computer proficiency in Quantros, Microsoft Office products, regulatory websites
  • Degree in nursing or health-related field
  • Minimum of five years of health care experience in a clinical or administrative management role
  • Master’s degree, preferably in healthcare-related field (Preferred)
  • Specific experience in dealing with regulatory agencies (Preferred)



Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

  • Current, valid State of Florida license as a registered professional nurse (Preferred)
  • CPHQ (Certified Professional In Healthcare Quality) (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains knowledge of current regulatory guidelines and standards and CMS conditions of participation
  • Conducts Patient Care Interview Tracers daily according to assigned schedule
  • Uses Patient Care Interview Tracer to evaluate individual registered nurse/Allied Health Care Professional competencies related to knowledge of regulatory standards, National Patient Safety Goals, and related AdventHealth policies
  • Uses Patient Care Interview Tracer to evaluate individual registered nurse/Allied Health Care Professional compliance delivering safe patient care, and required documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, National Patient Safety Goals, and AdventHealth policies
  • Uses Patient Care Interview to evaluate individual registered nurse/Allied Health Care Professional competence in navigating the electronic and paper medical record
  • Completes data entry of Patient Care Interview Tracers results
  • Provides debriefing both on individual competence and overall unit compliance at the time of tracer to the unit manager
  • Participates in Accreditation Department meetings to share compliance issues with established standards or regulations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
