Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time – Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

•         Serves as Physician Practice Administrator for Live Oak Health Partners, a physician group practice owned and operated by Central Texas Medical Center.

•         Provides administrative leadership for all strategic planning, clinical, operational, financial, accreditation, licensing and professional matters.

•         Collaborates with physicians employed by Live Oak Health Partners.

•         Coordinates practice development (volume growth) activities in collaboration with employed physicians.

•         Establishes effective communication with all employed physicians, other practice leaders and support personnel in order to achieve practice goals.

•         Negotiates physician compensation arrangements, including new and renewal physician employment agreements.

•         Manages physician and staff productivity within established goals for worked & paid hours and actively manages the overall department budget.

•         In cooperation with CTMC administration, ensures adequate staffing and employment of qualified personnel.

•         Develops, implements, and administers policies and procedures to ensure provision of efficient, high quality, safe and cost effective services.

•         Develops a one-year and a long-term practice strategic plan for growth and improvement that compliments the strategic plans and needs of CTMC.

•         Builds a high performance, Christian culture in the practice which values integrity, mutual respect, accountability, compassion and excellence.

•         Drives marketing and practice growth efforts in conjunction with appropriate CTMC marketing and other personnel.

•         Implements a Performance Improvement Process to assess and improve practice performance.

•         Works Collaboratively with clinic management to establish practice billing and collection processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in billing and collection services.


What You Will Need:

•         Master’s degree in management, business administration (MBA, MHA or related field of study) or related area.

•         Five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•         Three years of medical management experience in a physician group practice.

•         Leadership experience in private practice, the military, and/or academics.

•         Strong financial background in physician practice reimbursement.

•         This position plays a key role in emergency preparedness/response at CTMC, and this position is required to complete the NIMS training courses for Healthcare within six months of hire. NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800 certification.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall leadership and administration of Live Oak Health Partners. Ensures services are designed to meet the needs of the institution related to its stated mission, values, and goals.          

To provide oversight, coordination, and management of Live Oak Health Partners physicians and staff.

This position requires a practice administrator for a physician group practice with a high level of initiative, business acumen, strategic thinking, communication and relationship building skills.  The majority of duties require sound professional judgment and ability for confident decision-making. The individual must possess diplomacy, tact and a detailed, advanced level of understanding specific to the clinical, operational and financial operations of a complex multi-disciplinary medical group practice.
