Work Hours/Shift:

Variable Days/Evenings

You will be responsible for:

• Assists the pharmacist in preparation of medication orders and accurately prepares medications for patients/departments/Pyxis.
• Maintains the work area in an orderly, clean, well-stocked condition to ensure efficient, organized departmental workflow.
• Accurately processes charging and crediting of patients and departments.
• Answers telephone and assists customers at the door/window in an appropriate, courteous, efficient, timely and effective manner.

Qualifications

What you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• FL license Registered Pharmacy Technician
• National certification highly desired
• Hospital pharmacy experience highly desired

Job Summary:

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.  Assists pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and maintenance of patient records.  Works only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.  Does not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.  Responsible to adhere to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
