Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Evening Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when introducing the Catering to You program, taking menu selections, delivering trays, inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays
  • Takes patient menu selections prior to each meal
  • Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations
  • Works with Nursing to ensure patients diet prescriptions are accurate, and patients food needs are meet
  • Prepares and delivers bulk nourishment to patient pantries
  • Organize, clean, sanitize pantries, and rotate stock appropriately, following HACCP guidelines
  • Demonstrates competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served
  • Required to respond to emergency situations (i.e., disasters, hurricanes, etc.) by reporting to department and staying until the crisis is over or position is covered by incoming personnel. This is a mandatory requirement.  Refusal to respond may result in termination.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

•         High school graduate   

•         Minimum one year experience in Food Service Industry


Job Summary:

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery
