Florida Hospital Ocala opened its doors in 1898 as Marion General Hospital and has been in continuous operation since then. Then in 1928, the hospital was renamed to Munroe Memorial Hospital. Adventist Health System acquired Munroe Regional Medical and renamed it Florida Hospital Ocala in 2018. GENERAL SUMMARY
The Data Analyst LPN is responsible for the infrastructure updates, data entry, uploading outcomes data and production of clinical data reports for the CDC NHSN database, as well as evidence-based practices for the infection prevention and performance improvement task forces and committees using basic databases.  The Data Analyst LPN assists with submission of regulatory reports as required by the State of Florida and the Federal government, CMS, for data validation of our patient outcomes. The Data Analyst LPN assists with the maintenance of ongoing, routine, data entry, scheduled data reports, participates in planning and data collection tools for clinical projects, physician credentialing, and effectively communicates relevant data report information to the Manager.  The Data Analyst LPN assists the Manager in the completion of policy updates in the policy system. The Data Analyst LPN will assist with preparation for and presentation of data for the Infection Prevention Committee, Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, or other meetings as needed by the infection prevention department. The Data Analyst LPN will assist the infection prevention program with conducting rounds for the purpose of data collection, monitor equipment and/or product usage for the purpose of data collection, assist with education, and may attend meetings on behalf of the infection prevention department. The Data Analyst LPN will provide administrative support and will assist in the documentation of process work plans as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements of the infection prevention department.   
Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Knowledge and skills to use spreadsheets and word processing
  • Able to perform basic tasks for database management and reporting
  • Skills to produce graphs, tables, and charts
  • Knowledge and skills utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Able to answer multi-line phone system, take complete messages, and work basic office equipment including fax machine
  • Education:  High School diploma
  • Special License:  LPN
  • Relevant Experience:  Minimum 2 years healthcare experience required
  • 1 year of data management experience
  • Previous experience with infection prevention surveillance software (Preferred)
  • Understanding of evidence based practice standards in infection prevention (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical supplies including indwelling urinary catheters and intravenous catheters (Preferred)
  • Degree:  Associate’s degree (Preferred)
  • Relevant Experience:  1 year experience in decision support, performance improvement activities preferred
