Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days

You will be responsible for:

  • Actively participates in all activities related to accreditation preparations and plans, ensuring that areas of responsibilities are meeting all standards as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Actively oversees and provides input and feedback for Performance Improvement activities
  • Supports a shared governance model, encouraging and facilitating protective time for meetings and activities 
  • Manages departments to ensure operations are consistent with budget goals; actively participates in budget planning, forecasting and analysis to ensure quality patient care is provided
  • Creates a department environment that is built around teamwork, collaboration and support to ensure staff and patients are safe
  • Develops policies and procedures consistent with clinical best practice; evaluates, initiates, and implements new processes and associated systems to maximize efficiencies.
  • Supports s the coordination/integration of patient care services between departments and across the continuum of care
  • Ensures appropriate orientation, education, training and competency of staff; develops and evaluates managers and staff clinical/non-clinical competencies
  • Actively seeks to obtain center of excellence certifications provided by organizations such as The Joint Commission
  • Works diligently with the Nursing Leadership   team to ensure the nursing division   exceeds quality and patient care goals
  • Participates in the analysis of patient care delivery systems and the development/implementation of changes to enhance the delivery of patient care consistent with best practice research
  • Actively participates in community outreach programs
  • Participates in leading/directing hospital/patient care projects/teams
  • Eagerly seeks to expand knowledge base, through formal as well as informal systems, looking for opportunities to continually learn and share new information with others
  • Other duties as assigned


What you will need:

  • Standard office equipment including, computer, printer, phone, fax, copy machine, etc.  Camera and badge equipment
  • BSN or equivalent
  • Three (3) years progressive experience in management position 
  • Broad knowledge base of healthcare trends, technology & profession
  • Communication skills, enhance & motivate staff
  • Demonstrates leadership & teaching abilities
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • MSN or MBA (preferred)
  • RN State of Florida license
  • BLS
