You Will Be Responsible For:
Major Gift Solicitation
•     Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects
•     Identify and qualify new major gift prospects, and cultivate and maintain relationships as appropriate
•     Solicit select individuals for major gifts as appropriate
•     Acknowledge all major gift donors appropriately
Planned Giving
•     Serve as staff liaison to the Planned Giving Committee
•     Manage the acquisition of all needed planned giving informational and promotional materials
•     Identify and cultivate new planned giving donor prospects
•     Cultivate and advance current relationships with planned giving prospects
•     Solicit prospects for planned gift commitments as appropriate (bequests, trusts, life insurance, etc.)
•     Develop and manage the Foundation’s Charitable Gift Annuity(CGA) program, and manage the relationship with the  bank managing the annuity assets
•     Manage all aspects of the Foundation’s annual Legacy of Healing Society luncheon
•     Acknowledge all planned giving donors appropriately
Capital Campaign Planning
•     Participate in all capital campaign planning sessions as appropriate
•     Strategize the application of sponsorship, planned giving, corporate and foundation grants, and major gift funding to capital campaign revenue
•     Manage the process of researching, drafting and submitting large ($500,000+) capital funding grants from individuals and personal foundations.
•     Direct the work of the manager of annual fund, grateful patient and prospect research
•     Manage the training of and relationship with grateful patient associate and physician ambassadors
•     Ensure the professional efficiency and growth of the manager.
•     Serve as a leader of the Foundation team and model excellence in team leadership and collaboration
What You Will Need:
•     Bachelor’s Degree                    
•     5 or more Years of Position-Related Experience
•     Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) – preferred
Job Summary:
The Director of Individual Giving, in concert with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving, assists the Foundation Executive Director in all aspects of fundraising, special events, communications and moves management in support of the Medical Center, including the identification of donor prospects, their cultivation, solicitation and the proper stewardship of their contributed funds. Specifically, the Director of Individual Giving is currently charged with direct responsibility for the following:
•     Cultivate, solicit and steward individuals for gifts to capital campaigns and initiatives
•     Supervise the Manager responsible for annual fund, grateful patient and prospect research/moves management and direct his/her work.
•     Develop a constituency of former patient and their family members
